Save the best for last– "ikanga"! Since I've been in Puerto Princesa in just 3 days, I really wanted my last travel diary to be extra special. We spent our last day doing island hoping! Some people say when you see something for the first time you feel that there are butterflies flying around your stomach. Well I guess this is my feeling when I first see the beautiful islands around Puerto Princesa – I think I fell in love!
It’s just 45-minutes away from the city proper, located in the mid-eastern coast of the city and then you will see the stunning islands with white sand beaches. I still can’t believe that we do both swimming and island hopping in Puerto Princesa. We go to some islands such as Luli Island – during the low tide, the sandbar becomes invisible and during the high tide it becomes covered with water. Thus, the name Luli created from tagalog word “lulubog” (sinks) and “lilitaw” (floats). Next Island is Pandan Island, where we do more water activities like kayaking and snorkeling. After terrifying activities we’re now ready to dig in our lunch! Yaaaaay! Our last island would be Cowrie Island. After we reach the shore, I smell the delicious sea foods lunch that waiting for us. This island was then converted to a resort. It is perfect paradise for beach lovers like me. I think these places are some of the reasons why many foreigners fall in love with the Philippines.
I am so happy I was able to experience Palawan with my man! Haha :)
